I am so glad I made it back to watch the concert and the track meet. I really would have felt like I missed out on a big part of my twins senior year. Tyanne hasn't been able to do a sport in over a year and a half and she just loves Track. As for Tyson I would say track is definitely his sport! Darius also does really good, he is just really young still...it will get better for him. So today was really windy and cold, and I was watching David so I didn't get as many pictures as I had hoped. David fell asleep and seriously slept for about 3 hours during the meet...he was just bundled up and was out!
Here is Tyson Long Jumping! He did great! He got first place! He also got 1st in Triple Jump and 2nd in High Jump and 2nd in 4 x 400 relay. He had a good day!
Darius also did good, he didn't place but neither did Tyson when he was a freshman!
Tyanne also did good in Long Jump and got a PR for the year and took 3rd place. She also got 2nd in Triple Jump and she did an outstanding job in the 300 hurdles today and she took 2nd place. She also got 1st place in the 4x400 relay. She was the first runner and really got them a good lead!
That is a nice landing though!
Grandpa with sweet Baby David...although he's not quite sure about being out in this cold wind!
I just love that hair...he reminds me of a baby duck!
So the cool surprise of the night was that Tyson got the award for having the most points out of all the boys at the meet! Go Tyson! That was totally awesome!
Today was a wonderful day. Rob had the day off and I got to watch David while Jessica worked. He wasn't feeling very good and just wanted to be cuddled all day....so that is pretty much what Grandma and Grandpa did all day...cuddled a cute little boy and catch up on our episodes we like to watch. It was really nice to have a little down time! Then this evening the kids had a concert. I love watching them perform. It is so much fun that all 3 of them get to perform together in the Taste of Sound, which is like the Madrigal's from Snowflake. They have a wonderful Director who lives two doors down and is in our ward. They really like him and he is a lot of fun! Here are some pictures and videos of tonight! This is a picture of their first song. I know it isn't very clear that is when I decided to just video tape their songs!
Again not very clear...I will have to do better next time, but at least you can hear them singing!
I love it when they dance! I had so many compliments for Tyanne after the concert that she is so much fun to watch...that your eyes just go to her because she looks like she is having so much fun!
Oh I just love this picture! I know I'm the mom but they are just so cute! Here are a few after concert picture of them and their friends!
This is the look that the boys give when someone wants to date thier sister! They are both very protective...but I think that Darius is the worst!
The kids just being silly...with Becca Peck added to the group!
Three beautiful girls...inside and out! Love them! Brooklyn Farrar, Tyanne and Becca Peck!
Here is the crew...Darius, Brooklyn, Tyanne, Becca, Tyson and we couldn't forget Savanna!
...and Tyane and her good friend Bruce!
We can't forget Jessica and sleeping David! It was just a great night!
So today was a great and busy day! I got up and got my exercising done then I actually booked or cruise! I am so exited! We have never been on a cruise. Rob took some time off in June and we are leaving on a 4 day excursion to Mexico June 8th. We are taking Tyson, Tyanne, and Darius. So then I got ready and Jessica and I went to the Safford baseball field and watched Snowflake play. It was so fun to see Chris Lyman, Layla Goodman, Michelle Reidhead, but most one of my best friends Gaylene Fusselman! We just love their family, they are like our extended family. Well Rob and David have been friends for a very long time, he was Rob's best man at our wedding and Gaylene sang with my uncle Mark (at the time). And we lived just right around the corner from each other for many years and have always been in the same ward. Gaylene and I would go walking together and served in young women's together. David blessed Jessica when Rob couldn't and Jessica and David have always had a special bond. Therefore she not only named David after Tyson, but also after David. He has a very special name, David Michael, the Michael after Jordan's Dad.
Well we watched the lobos play and then went to eat with David, Gaylene and Derek, their oldest son. It was so much fun! We then went back and watched them play again but then I needed to go visiting teaching and went to two sisters then went home.
Well today is my anniversary and it was actually a pretty wonderful day! Rob took the day off and got to come to Church with us. Because of his work schedule he doesn't get to come very often. But I absolutely love it when he does! We came home and I had put a pork roast on to cook when I left and it was just right when I got home. I love Sundays! When we come home, everyone pitches in and helps cook dinner! Tyson made a wonderful salad and Darius made some awesome mashed potatoes with garlic, butter and bacon bites! Tyanne helped me make some cheddar garlic biscuits that turned absolutely wonderful! It is so nice to sit down to the table at least once a week and have dinner and just talk with the kids! Jess and Jordan came over a little bit later, poor Jess has to work nights tonight. I didn't hear from Emery and Duskin, but that is because they are on the Pacific on their way to Mexico....totally jealous! Robby did text us Happy Anniversary! Love those kids! Oh and Tyson got started on his mission papers tonight. He had an interview with the bishop and came home and got them started...Woo Hoo! But also melancholy at the same time! Man...
Today was a busy day. It started by getting up early and going out and taking senior pictures with Tyson. They turned out so great! It was so fun to spend that time with him! He is such a fun person to be with! I am sure going to miss him when he goes on his mission! I think about it often and how we are going to get a long...he fixes everything! He can pretty much do anything! He is sure going to make some lucky girl a wonderful husband!
I also went to a Stake Women's Conference today which was really neat. They had several different classes we could go to, funny thing is there was a class on Social Media which talked about making your blog your journal and making books....which is what my goal is for this blog. Is to make yearly books and to make this my journal since I am terrible at writing in mine. This is a lot easier, I can do it from my phone sometimes, and it is just a lot more fun because I can add pictures of evens and things as we do them. Another class was pornography which is a scary prevalent problems I would be safe in saying that all families have to deal with at one point or another, and how to handle it when you do. One was a service class where they were making quilts, stuffed animals, and little pockets hangers for people using walkers. The last one I went to was a class about Temples and it really had the spirit. I just loved it. We then had a wonderful lasagna lunch. It was just really fun!
I then came home and made the posters for our March Enrichment, which turned out cute, then Rob came home and took me to dinner in celebration of our Anniversary tomorrow (since we can't go out tomorrow!) So we went to Casa Manana it was so so good!
Today was a great busy day! I took this cute little boy for a walk this morning! He is just so much fun! He was in his stroller, which is fun because you can talk to him as you walk. He then got to go with me to lunch with Darylin Farrar for her birthday at Kanoia's which is a wonderful place to eat. Ahhh I love the paradise wrap! Rob and I went to dinner at Karissa Slade's house. It was fun.
Jessica of course was working this week and she would drop David off at the house at about 5:30 in the morning and so he would come and get in bed with me and fall back to sleep. Here is a sweet picture of him asleep next to me as I am just playing on the computer. It is times like these that I wish I could capture forever! There is nothing sweeter then having this baby sleeping next to me!
Here David is still not feeling good and Rob had today off so we just took turns holding and cuddling this sweet boy all day long! I just loved this picture. He just fell asleep on his Grandpa's belly. So adorable!
Here we had made spaghetti for the crew for lunch and Grandpa couldn't resist giving David a taste of the noodles. He really was not fond of it at all! Just look at that face...does he look like he is enjoying it?
Today is Rob's 51st birthday! Not much really happened today because he was working nights. I went and got him a carne asada burrito for breakfast from "Bertos" and we just hung and played with cute little David. It was Jessica's first day of working as a nurse! She works at the nursing home so we got to watch the cute little munchkin today. I absolutely loved it! But poor David was so sick, he has had a cold and he just sounds horrible. So I made him an appointment to take him to Dr. Montierth. He said he was doing good and it was just something viral. I also had enrichment yesterday so I had to go decorate for it and it started at 6:00. Luckily Tyanne watched David for me and she helped babysit the other kids in the nursery during enrichment. It was on Journaling and Family History. It turned out really good. Nicole Lunt, Lana Meyers and I all took a little bit of time talking about how we do our journaling. I talked about how I have started journaling on my blog. I love it because I can do it on my computer or on my kindle or especially on my phone. So no matter where I am I can snap a picture and add a little comment and there is my journal entry for the day! I love it! The night turned out really good!
But since it is Rob's birthday I want to pay a little tribute to him with this blog post. Rob is such a strong and smart person and I love these qualities about him. He can just about fix anything and he can make anything it is truly amazing! He is so caring and is always trying to make those around him happy but at the same time just stays to himself. He works so hard to meet the needs of his family and he sure loves them and feels this is his way of showing his love. He is sometimes hard to talk to but once you get him going it can really be fun. He sure loves his grandson David (maybe because he looks so much like him)! We love you so much Rob and our lives have been blessed because you are a part of it!
Well today was a pretty normal Sunday for our family. We just got up, ate breakfast, showered and got ready for church, which right now is at 11. Church was really good and inspiring today. Penny Whetten gave a talk on "Coming to Christ" in Relief Society which was really good and Brother Hancock told us that he won't be teaching our Sunday class any longer and I really loved his lessons! So Amazing! Came home made lunch, which, wasn't really the greatest today. I normally fix a great lunch, but I am trying really hard to loose weight at the moment and eat really healthy and it just didn't turn out like I had expected. The Healthy Brownies may have been healthy but they were gross! The roast took forever to cook and I burnt...which I never do...the cauliflower! Ya...not my day! Jess, Jordan and David came over which is a wonderful Sunday ritual and I just love it! Brooklyn came to visit Tyanne and Hayden came by to visit Tyson. It was pretty laid back and fun! The highlight of the night was watching a few Pentatonix You Tube videos and then we found some videos of the kids and I singing (lip syncing) in the car. When ever we would take a trip it always seems that we do some form of this. I will share an example. Have fun! Obviously we were!
Today we got to take this sweet little face on a day trip with us to the Gilbert Temple open house. He was so much fun and he is just as precious as he can be!
This temple is just a beautiful and serene place. Everything about it is just relaxing, inviting, and gorgeous.
It was such a neat experience to take the kids through and to answer a lot of questions that they had. It was fun for the to be able to see the inside of the temple. They were really excited especially Darius and he had lots of questions!
The family after the tour, Tyanne, Rob, Crick, David, Tyson and Darius. What a wonderful day!
We even got to meet up with Antie Em and have lunch with her. She was on her lunch break. She works as a dental assistant for Dr. Beavers, Jordan's uncle.
We also met up with Great Grandma Aceves! This was just a last minute, she happened to be in the valley, meeting. She was in the valley with Liza and Shanna who have been having some tests done for Liza's bone marrow transplant. Aunt Shelly was also here for lunch. I am just sad I didn't get a picture with everyone!
This is where we had lunch. It was right around the corner from the temple. It was called Joe's Farm Grill. We just had hamburgers but honestly, I think these were the best hamburgers I have ever had! It was a really neat place and their strawberry lemonade was amazing....if you like pulp, which I do!
