My Anniversary!

Well today is my anniversary and it was actually a pretty wonderful day!  Rob took the day off and got to come to Church with us.  Because of his work schedule he doesn't get to come very often.  But I absolutely love it when he does!  We came home and I had put a pork roast on to cook when I left and it was just right when I got home.  I love Sundays!  When we come home, everyone pitches in and helps cook dinner!  Tyson made a wonderful salad and Darius made some awesome mashed potatoes with garlic, butter and bacon bites!  Tyanne helped me make some cheddar garlic biscuits that turned absolutely wonderful!  It is so nice to sit down to the table at least once a week and have dinner and just talk with the kids!  Jess and Jordan came over a little bit later, poor Jess has to work nights tonight.  I didn't hear from Emery and Duskin, but that is because they are on the Pacific on their way to Mexico....totally jealous!  Robby did text us Happy Anniversary!  Love those kids!  Oh and Tyson got started on his mission papers tonight.  He had an interview with the bishop and came home and got them started...Woo Hoo!  But also melancholy at the same time!  Man...

Pictures and Conferences

Today was a busy day.  It started by getting up early and going out and taking senior pictures with Tyson.  They turned out so great!  It was so fun to spend that time with him!  He is such a fun person to be with!  I am sure going to miss him when he goes on his mission!  I think about it often and how we are going to get a long...he fixes everything!  He can pretty much do anything!  He is sure going to make some lucky girl a wonderful husband!

I also went to a Stake Women's Conference today which was really neat.  They had several different classes we could go to, funny thing is there was a class on Social Media which talked about making your blog your journal and making books....which is what my goal is for this blog.  Is to make yearly books and to make this my journal since I am terrible at writing in mine.  This is a lot easier, I can do it from my phone sometimes, and it is just a lot more fun because I can add pictures of evens and things as we do them.  Another class was pornography which is a scary prevalent problems I would be safe in saying that all families have to deal with at one point or another, and how to handle it when you do.  One was a service class where they were making quilts, stuffed animals, and little pockets hangers for people using walkers.  The last one I went to was a class about Temples and it really had the spirit.  I just loved it.  We then had a wonderful lasagna lunch.  It was just really fun!

I then came home and made the posters for our March Enrichment, which turned out cute, then Rob came home and took me to dinner in celebration of our Anniversary tomorrow (since we can't go out tomorrow!)  So we went to Casa Manana it was so so good!

Just a fun day!

Today was a great busy day!  I took this cute little boy for a walk this morning!  He is just so much fun!  He was in his stroller, which is fun because you can talk to him as you walk.  He then got to go with me to lunch with Darylin Farrar for her birthday at Kanoia's which is a wonderful place to eat. Ahhh I love the paradise wrap!  Rob and I went to dinner at Karissa Slade's house.  It was fun.

Great's Birthday!

As Darius and I were sitting in the Chiropractic office filling out paperwork and had to write in the date, I realized just what today was.  It was my Grandma's birthday.  Even though she has been gone for almost 17 years there are not many days that have gone by that I haven't thought about her in one way or another.  She was such a special person in my life.  She loved me so much and I knew it.  She would take me camping, getting pinions, picking raspberries or grapes, or out getting wood.  She taught me how to crochet and how to cook and bake many things.  She taught me how to bottle foods by pressure cooking or waterbath.  LOL a funny thing she told me once right after I had Emery was "You are not a good looking fat person.  See how you are only fat in your belly?  I am a good looking fat person because I am evenly fat all over!"  I just want to dedicate this post to her and everything she has done for me and my family!

Love you Grandma!

Sometimes I can still hear her saying my name "Cristina" she always called me by my real name!

Tyanne's Day

My phone doesn't take the greatest pictures...dang it.  Well Tyanne got an award for academics and they had an assembly to give them their awards.  I almost forgot about it and I got there a little late.  I was already to take Tyanne's picture when they called her name and she never went up there.  I then texted her and asked her where she was.  She replied that she was in class, she had forgotten to go!  So she rushed over as fast as she could, but by the time she got there it was over.  Well she went up there and got her award anyway.  Silly girl!

Tyanne got asked to Mormon Prom by Anthony Whetten!  So funny, he came by earlier and put this in her room and I forgot.  So the girls got home from track practice and all of a sudden I just heard them screaming.  So I went to find out what was going on...Tyanne and Brooklyn were screaming about how cute this was!  The theme of Prom is Frozen, so what he did was so cute and appropriate!  This poster was on her front door of her room with the door taped shut.

Several different types of peanut butter sandwiches.

The girls enjoying the sandwiches....they were "starving" after track practice!

This sign was on her bed.

President's Day in Tripp Canyon

We decided we wanted to spend the day hiking and Geocaching.  I found a couple of Geocaches up Tripp Canyon and out towards Klondike.  We picked up Jess, Jordan and David at Jess' and Kason (Darius' best friend) also met us there.  We gassed up and tried to find the road to Tripp Canyon, which took us a little bit to find.  It wasn't easy.  It was a neat road up the west side of Mt. Graham (actually the Pinaleno Mountains).  We got to the first Geocache and make the short trek to the cache.

We finally get sweet little David into his carrier and he just snuggles next to his beautiful Mom!  We are now ready to find our first cache!

Here is the crew Kason, Jessica, David, Darius, Tyanne, Tyson, Jordan and Me.  We are following Tyson to the area where the cache is.  It was a beautiful day!

We found the cache and it was near a grave out here in the middle of nowhere.  Just makes you wonder who he was and why he was buried out here.

As we were headed up towards our next cache we found this little patch of snow.  We had to stop so Jordan and David could see it up close.  With Jordan being from Yuma, he hasn't seen much snow in his lifetime.  So this is David's very first snow!

Here Mom is helping him make his first snowball!

Here we were looking for the next cache and Kason took the lead.  We never did end up finding it, but we still had a lot of fun.

Obviously some more then others!

LOL...got caught!

So Darius and Kason found quite a few clay pigeons so we decided to play ball with them.  It was a lot of fun.

Jordan one handing it...can he do it?

Jessica....funniest thing ever...if I was taking her picture she could not hit it.  She probably tried 30 times, but as soon as I put the camera down she would smack it!

Tyson thinks he can do better with a bigger stick.

Jordan trying again.

Mom rocks the big stick and the pigeons!

Poor Darius is just really hurting.  So on our way up here there was one corner that had a lot of snow.  As we were going around the corner there was a sign and I told Tyson to stop because I wanted to read it, which was a bad idea.  As we were trying to get going again we kept sliding around and got stuck.  The wheels just kept sliding on the ice.  So we decided to get out and put some sticks under the tires.  The ice was super, super slippery.  Darius went to throw a stick and literally both of his feet came straight out from under him and he landed right on his tailbone.  It was really really funny but I could tell he was really hurting and it continued to hurt him pretty bad throughout the day.

Kason, trying his hand at the big stick and the pigeon and he smashed it out of the forrest!

Such a sweet picture!  David and his Dad!

We just spent a lot of time taking picture of this photogenic baby!  He just has the sweetest face and the camera just loves him!

Taking my turn with this sweet face!  I just love this good natured, loving, smiley baby!

I love him so much, sometimes I just want to eat his face!

He just has the prettiest big blue eyes!

Gosh...you just can't help but smile looking at this picture!  Just such a happy boy!

A family outing wouldn't be complete without doing a family music video.  We chose Pentatonix to sing with today, we love them!  Here is the first one.

Here is our second.  We would have done more but when the car started having issues we were more worried about that.

Our third cache for the day.  This one had a story to go with it about a robbery and a shoot out at these rocks.  So Tyanne is reading us the story while Darius and Kason check out the treasure!

Jessica, David and Tyson making their way up to the cache.

Well as we are making our way to the third, fourth and fifth caches (there just happened to be 3 right close together), the car all of a sudden keeps dying.  It is like it isn't getting any gas.  It had done this once before and Rob thought it was because we had gotten water in the gas tank and we did just top off the car in Pina just before coming out.  Great!  So here is Tyson trying to get a cell signal to call his friend's dad and ask him what he thinks.  He teaches Auto Mechanics at the high school.

Looks like they got a picture of me heading out behind one of those trees!

So Tyson is staying with the car.  If we leave it off for a few minutes it would start back up again so we would walk ahead sometimes and at time he would go ahead and we would have to catch up.

Tyson giving me a ride after taking a hike to the trees!

Tyanne giving David a ride!  He seem very happy about it!

The kids walking up ahead to the next cache.  What a sweet scene I love it when the kids get a long!

Here is Jess, David and Me bringing up the rear!

Jessica getting her groove on!

Even though we are in the desert...the scene was really beautiful!  Kinda crazy, within a matter of minutes we have gone from being up in the pines to being in the desert.

David walking with his Mom.

Tyanne signing the paper in the last Geocache.  We only hit one of the three caches' here because for one the car was really giving us issues and two we actually couldn't really drive to the last two.  The ravines were just too deep, we actually got stuck and had to push the suburban out.  The poor suburban had a really rough day.  It took us a while to get home because it just kept dying.  We would have to sit for about 5 minutes and then it would start back up again.  We eventually made it back home after a great adventure!
